In one paragraph

CyberBITS is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Cannock, Staffordshire, serving small and medium-sized businesses across the West Midlands and South Staffordshire. Founded and led by an experienced IT professional with a background in enterprise infrastructure, CyberBITS delivers the kind of responsive, personal service that larger IT companies consistently fail to provide. Their core services include Managed IT Support, Cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 deployment and management, 3CX business phone systems, network infrastructure and UniFi solutions, and practical AI services designed to help growing businesses work smarter. CyberBITS works primarily with SMEs who need a technology partner they can trust — not a faceless helpdesk or a revolving door of engineers. Every client benefits from direct access to senior expertise, proactive support, and technology strategies aligned to their business goals. For businesses in the West Midlands and South Staffordshire looking for an MSP that genuinely understands the challenges of running and growing a business, CyberBITS offers the expertise of a large provider with the accountability and care of a local partner.

Our story

A fresh pair of eyes — and 25 years of habit.

CyberBITS started in 2019, after a local accountancy firm asked me to look at their IT setup. What I found was a system that had grown into something nobody could really explain — years of well-meaning engineers had bolted, patched and re-patched until the kit was running far harder than it needed to. A fresh pair of eyes — and the right enterprise instincts — turned it into something coherent. Productivity went up. The phone stopped ringing for the wrong reasons.

That moment is the founding idea of the business. Most SMEs don't need more software — they need someone with enterprise-grade discipline running what they already own. Twenty-five years in IT, much of it inside enterprise environments, had given me a clear view of how good systems should work. The opportunity was to bring that to small and medium-sized businesses, who are too often sold the next shiny thing instead of being shown how to use the tools they already pay for.

Seven years on, CyberBITS still runs on that principle. We come in, look at what's actually there, and make it do its job properly. No bolted-on products you don't need. No vendor lock-in. Just a clear-eyed view of how the business runs day-to-day — and the discipline to keep it that way.

Our approach

Picky on purpose.

Most MSPs chase the next client. New ads, new pitches, new logos on the wall every quarter. We do it differently — and deliberately. CyberBITS is built around picking the right clients, not the most clients.

Before we agree to work together, we make sure we can actually serve you properly — and that how we work matches what you actually need. If we're not the right fit, or you're not the right fit for us, we say so. We'd rather turn down a client than take one we can't do justice to.

The result is fewer clients than we technically could carry — and a much better experience for the ones we do work with. If you'd rather your MSP picks up the phone because they actually know who's calling, this is what that costs us — and what it buys you.

What we believe

Six principles we run on.

These aren't marketing values that live on a poster. They're the rules we hold each other to — and the ones our customers can hold us to.

  • 01

    Respond, don't deflect.

Tickets are great for tracking. They're a terrible substitute for actually picking up the phone. We do both.

  • 02

    Plain English, always.

If we can't explain it without acronyms, we don't understand it well enough. We translate IT into business outcomes.

  • 03

    Your network, your knowledge.

We document everything and hand it back. If you ever leave us, you take the keys with you. No vendor lock-in tricks.

  • 04

    Secure by default.

Cybersecurity isn't a separate product line — it's stitched through every service we deliver. Cyber Essentials standards, minimum.

  • 05

    Honest about scope.

If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you and point you to someone who is. Long-term trust beats a short-term contract.

  • 06

    Practical with new tech.

AI, automation, Copilot — we cut through the hype and roll out the bits that genuinely move the needle for SMEs.

Meet the team

A small team. Big on doing the work.

Every account at CyberBITS has the same engineers from day one. No layered helpdesks, no escalation lottery — just people who know your business, your network, and how it actually runs.

    Founder

I started on the helpdesk in 2002 and spent the next two decades working my way through every layer of IT — ending up managing infrastructure for a £1 billion business. That background shapes how CyberBits works: enterprise discipline, without the enterprise bureaucracy. The business started when a local accountant asked me to look at his IT setup. What I found was years of well-meaning engineers who'd kept adding and never simplifying. Fixing it properly — and watching it actually make a difference — was the moment that made the decision easy. Most SMEs don't need more technology. They need someone who knows how to run what they've already got.

    Technical Engineer

Damian joined CyberBits as an apprentice and hasn't looked back. He's now a full-time member of the team and the first voice most of our clients hear when something needs sorting. He picks up the phone. He digs into the problem. He follows it through until it's done. In an industry that's made an art form of deflecting, that still counts for a lot.
