About this service
What is 3CX phone systems?
3CX Phone Systems at CyberBITS is the design, deployment and ongoing management of business phone systems built on the 3CX platform — hosted in the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid. We're a 3CX Partner supporting SMEs across the West Midlands and South Staffordshire, including Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Cannock and Stafford. A typical deployment includes UK direct-dial numbers, mobile and desktop softphone apps, smart call routing and queues, voicemail-to-email, integration with Microsoft 365 and common CRMs, and call recording where compliance requires it. We handle the design, deployment, number porting and the day-to-day support — so your team gets a phone system that works the same in the office, at home and on the road.
What's included
Modern telephony, properly delivered.
Not a SIM card with a soft phone bolted on. A full business phone system — built around the way your team actually communicates.
-
Hosted or on-premises
Choose the deployment that suits your business — fully hosted in the cloud for simplicity, on-prem for low-latency or data-sovereignty needs, or a hybrid mix.
-
Mobile + desktop apps
Take your business number anywhere. Native iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and browser apps so your team can answer calls wherever they're working.
-
Smart call routing
IVR menus, queues, hunt groups, time-of-day rules and out-of-hours routing — designed for your business and tuned over time.
-
Microsoft 365 & CRM integration
Teams presence sharing, click-to-dial from your CRM, screen-pops on incoming calls, and call activity logged automatically against the right contact.
-
UK number porting
Keep every number your customers already know. We handle porting end-to-end with zero downtime, plus add new local DDIs across UK area codes.
-
Call recording & compliance
Recorded calls retained per your policy, including PCI-friendly pause-resume during card transactions and GDPR-aligned access controls.
How it works
From quote to live calls in days, not months.
Most SME deployments go from kick-off to live, ported numbers in two to four weeks. Larger or multi-site builds run a little longer — but always on a clear plan.
- 01
Discovery
Quick session to map team structure, call volumes, integrations and any compliance requirements.
- 02
Design & quote
Hosted, on-prem or hybrid? Number plan, hardware where needed, transparent fixed monthly cost.
- 03
Deploy & port
System built and tested in parallel with the existing one. Numbers ported with zero downtime, hardware provisioned and shipped.
- 04
Train & support
Short hands-on training for your team, plus ongoing support and admin changes — the same support team that handles your IT.
Common scenarios
Why SMEs move to 3CX.
A handful of common reasons we hear when businesses come to us about a new phone system. If one of these sounds familiar, we should probably talk.
-
Replacing ISDN before the switch-off
BT is switching off the UK PSTN/ISDN network. Moving to 3CX gets you off ageing copper lines and onto a modern, lower-cost system before the deadline forces the issue.
-
Hybrid and remote teams
Calls follow your people. The same number, the same call quality, the same features whether they're at the office, at home, or on a customer site.
-
Multi-site businesses
One phone system across all your locations. Free internal calls between sites, shared queues, central admin — and one bill instead of three.
-
Customer service teams
Wallboards, real-time queue stats, agent reporting and integrated chat — all the tools a small ops team needs without enterprise pricing.
-
Microsoft Teams users
Stay in Teams for chat, layer 3CX over the top for proper telephony — direct dials, IVRs, queues — without the cost or complexity of Teams Phone.
-
Sales-led businesses
Click-to-dial from your CRM, automatic call logging, screen pops on inbound, recording-on-demand. Every call captured against the right deal.
Frequently asked
3CX phone systems — your questions answered.
If your question isn't here, get in touch — we'll give you a straight answer, including any reasons we might not be the right fit.
-
What is 3CX and why do you use it?
3CX is a software-based business phone system used by hundreds of thousands of organisations worldwide. It's licensed by user (not by extension or feature), runs on standard servers or in the cloud, and includes a full set of business calling features out of the box — IVR menus, queues, mobile apps, video meetings and integrations. We use it because it's reliable, well-priced for SMEs, vendor-neutral on hardware, and supports both hosted and on-prem deployments.
-
What is the UK ISDN switch-off and does it affect my business?
BT and the rest of the UK telecoms industry are retiring the legacy PSTN and ISDN networks — the copper-based lines many small businesses still use for phones. Once switched off, traditional ISDN phone systems will simply stop working. Most businesses still on ISDN need to move to a hosted / IP-based system before then. Migrating to 3CX takes the deadline off the table and usually reduces line rental and call costs at the same time.
-
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes. UK numbers can be ported across to 3CX, and we handle the entire porting process — paperwork, scheduling, cut-over — with zero downtime to your business. We can also add new local DDIs across any UK area code if you want to present a local presence in additional regions.
-
Can my team take calls on their mobiles?
Yes. The 3CX mobile app on iOS or Android lets staff make and receive business calls using their work number, with full call quality and features. Their personal number stays private. The same applies to the desktop app on Mac and Windows, and the browser-based web client — same number, same features, wherever they are.
-
Will it integrate with Microsoft Teams and our CRM?
Yes — Microsoft 365 and Teams integration is supported natively (presence sharing, click-to-dial, calendar awareness). 3CX also integrates with most mainstream CRMs — HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Zoho and Microsoft Dynamics — for screen-pops, click-to-dial and automatic call logging. For less common CRMs we can wire up the integration via 3CX's open API.
-
How much does a 3CX phone system cost?
Pricing is per simultaneous call (channel), not per user — which usually works out cheaper than per-user models for SMEs. Typical fully-hosted deployments come in at a fixed monthly fee that covers licensing, UK numbers, calls and our support. We'll quote a clear total cost up front, including any handsets or headsets you need, with no per-call surprises.
-
Where is the system hosted?
Hosted instances run in UK data centres by default, with EU options if your data sovereignty rules require it. On-premises deployments run on your own server or a small dedicated appliance at your office.
